Rayliza Academy is a Christ-centred school in Woe, in the Anloga District of Ghana’s Volta Region. We offer quality, affordable education, rooted in Christian values, to children and their families, including those in underserved communities.
The roots of the vision
The story of Rayliza Academy is older than the school itself. Rayliza’s own account looks back to the 1990s, when the wider vision behind Rayliza first took root, long before the Academy opened its doors.
It is a story of a family and a vision, of community and mission work, and of a desire to see lives changed through faith and education.

Rayliza Initiatives: the wider vision
Rayliza Initiatives exists to uplift individuals and families in underserved communities through three connected commitments: strengthening people spiritually, educating them academically, and empowering them economically.
Education is one of its major focus areas, and Rayliza Academy is part of that mission: a school where children can receive quality, Christ-centred learning at a cost families can manage.
Rayliza Academy opens
On Monday, 25 January 2021, Rayliza Academy opened its doors with five learners. It began small, with a clear purpose: to offer children, including those from lower-income families, a Christ-centred education of real quality.
From an opening enrolment of five learners in January 2021, Rayliza Academy has grown to serve hundreds of learners, growing alongside the community it serves.

A Christ-centred foundation
Christian principles are woven into everyday school life at Rayliza Academy. Faith is brought into our teaching so that learners can grow spiritually while they grow academically, and we place strong emphasis on moral values such as respect, humility and responsibility.
